I called NO-RINSE shampoo a while back and asked if it was safe to use their shampoo or body bath on my dogs. They told me that all their products are safe for dogs. I've been using it for a long time. It's easy because even though I do rinse it off, I don't have rinse 3 times to make sure it's all off! Just give a quick rinse & if a little stays on, it doesn't matter. My dogs are grateful it doesn't take as long, and they do well with it.

Hi Jsope03,

Many people shampoos are safe to use on dogs, but to be on the safe side, call your vet and read him/her the ingredients on the product you have at home. The vet should be able to tell you if there is anything toxic to dogs in there. Also, be sure not to get the product in your dog's eyes since it will likely cause irritation at the very least.

Thanks for your question. :)

Have No-Rinse shampoo/body bath for people. Would like to use same on my dog. Tried to find ingredients online for Kote-Glo who manufactures the product I want to try, but couldn't find listings online. Is the No-Rinse for people safe for my dog? Thanks for your advice.

My Mother's Great Pyranees has skin allergies and a shampoo/soap that we found works great was suggested to us by our vet and its simply Dawn dish soap. Its very easy to use has a few different scents and is dirt cheap. I've been using it on my Golden Retriever and she always comes out smelling great and looking beautiful afterwards.

Hi Hrishikesh,

Thank you for visiting our website. While we can offer advice on various types of shampoos that are useful in a variety of situations, we don't have any recipes for them. I'm sorry we can't offer more help than that, but we do wish you success with your venture. Best wishes.
