Wendy's Tips About New Dog Products

I have tried some new products that I just had to share with you! There are many perks to having your own radio show. One of them is that I get so many wonderful books, toys, beds and supplies to review. Sometimes I will mention a company on my radio show or have the manufacturer as a guest. At holiday time the daily mail and my UPS man are very busy delivering to my home!

Today I want to let you know about some great samples I have gotten in the last week that I personally think work great. Please know I am not endorsing any of the products, nor am I getting paid to tell you about them. They just worked well for me and my three boys, so I thought I would share this with you in the hope that if you have some of the same problems I have, some of these may work for you as well. Please always make sure to consult your vet as needed, and use your own judgment for your own dog.

Doggie Diapers

First, let me start off with a product I bought this past fall when I had my whole home redone. We had a serious house training issue going on, so I had to do a lot of work to get the house back in shape. The boys were in the kennel for nineteen days, so when they came home, I had a big job in front of me. I had to re-housebreak the two little boys, Cappy and Little Man!

I have tried diapers in the past, but they were ugly and did not stay on, not to mention my poor dogs felt ugly and ashamed. I found a great product called "CLEAN GO PET™". The male version wraps around the dog's waist for the leg lifter in your life! What a great idea!

I could not find the exact ones in a pet store. I turned to my favorite catalog called PET - EDGE; they have great products that are very affordable! The leg lifter wrap comes in two styles: blue plaid and black. They also come in many different sizes from extra small to extra large. My boys looked so cute in the blue plaid, and within two weeks, Cappy had relearned to go outside. He no longer needs his wrap, but poor Little Man is still young and has to wear his wrap almost twenty-four hours a day unless we are outside or walking.

I now can even bring Little Man to visit my friends and family, because I no longer have to worry about a hidden accident like the one that happened this past summer at my sister's beach home.

The price range is from $7.99 for extra-small to $14.98 for extra-large. I did also find another catalog that sells great looking male wraps but the cost is $29.99. For something you wash all the time and you need to have at least four to eight of per dog, that is very costly.

I just love the leg lifter protector; it has saved all my new furniture, the walls and my woodwork. If you have an older dog, puppy or even just a dog that needs help like my Little Man, take a look at the Clean Go Pet™ line. They have great stuff, and now my baby is no longer embarrassed or feels ugly!

Dog Nail Covers

Now this next product is one I got last week. They're called "Canine Soft Claws". Since I have redone the whole house I wanted to protect my newly polished wood floors and my boy's nails can leave scratch marks, even when they have been trimmed. I popped covers on all three boys to try them, and the dogs liked them. They were so comfortable my boys never tried to get them off, and wow did they work! Again I found them for a great price in the same catalog as my wraps.

Lighted Nail Trimmers

The last surprise worth talking about also came last week, and I really love this one. It is a new nail clipper with a built-in light and sensor to help tell you where you should cut your dog's nails. I did try this and it worked well, but I still feel better taking the boys to the vet to have their nails cut.

If you feel comfortable enough to cut your dog's nails at home, try this new nail clipper. They sell them at almost every pet store for around $49.00. The one I tried is called "The Quick Finder®" I hope some of this info will help you find a safe and good solution for you and your dogs.
