Hi Linda, I just watched your video and it’s fantastic! It brought such a smile to my face; there’s nothing like a happy dog. I love the fact that he’s so excited and it’s great to watch him jump in a second time! Does he do any other tricks (although, watching him jump into the pool was pretty exciting as is!)

Thanks so much for sharing this- it was awesome!

Hi Jackie,

Thanks for the comment! Jed loves the water, he spends more time in the pool then I do. One day I was working inside the house and just happened to look out the window to the back yard and saw Jed sitting in the spa. lol At that time, I thought, something is wrong with this picture!! lol

I think diving is his best trick, however, he does what I call the water long jump.  We have him sit about 10 feet away from the shallow end of the pool and have him stay.  Then we throw his a toy as far as we can to the other side of the pool (deep end) he runs, jumps and most of the time he clears about 1/2 the length of the pool.

He also likes to fetch.

Linda

Hi Linda,

That’s really funny that he will drop the toy into the water himself if you don’t do it for him. That tells me that he not only loves that toy, but he really does love the water (and being under it!). It reminds me of a video I saw once of a scuba diving dog. smile At the time I thought it was mean that the owners would do that to their dog, but seeing how much your dog loves being under water, maybe it wasn’t so mean after all. smile

Anyhow, thanks for sharing the video. It’s just so cute. smile Isn’t it nice when our pets are good at entertaining us? wink

Linda, I think it’s great that he does those tricks, plus that’s also really good exercise. I have two dogs- my big one doesn’t do much of anything anymore (she’s eight), but my little one also likes to run and catch her toys in the air. Its fun to watch, and it gives her a great workout, so I’m betting that Jed gets a good workout from his fun time at the pool :-)
